About US

Founded in the spring of 2019, Same Steps was established with the mission of enhancing historical engagement with parks and public green spaces using digital technologies such as geomapping and augmented reality. The idea for the company came from founder Griffen Hoyle’s life-long love for hiking and the outdoors, as well as her desire to use her experience as a scriptwriter and digital producer to help further the common good. Same Steps knows the power of storytelling and its importance in defining who we are and how we interact with the world around us. That’s why storytelling is at the core of our heritage experiences — it’s important to us that our audiences are not just learning about history, but becoming a part of it.
